Project Description :
We have just completed the Project Management on the new $21.6 Million UCFV Trades Training Facility, located in Chilliwack British Columbia.
The renovation of a 9,860 sm existing service building into a new “state of the art” trades training facility. Implementation of the project was through a design/build process with Chernoff Thompson Architects working in collaboration with Giffels Partnership Solutions Inc.
The new Trades & Technology Centre replaced UCFV’s current cramped trades training facility on the Abbotsford campus, and incorporates workshops, a computer lab, common areas, “smart” classrooms, and a cafeteria that will be operated by the UCFV professional cook program. UCFV’s aircraft structures technician program will remain at the Abbotsford International Airport.
